You Can’t Fake Frequency!
The law of resonance is impartial. It simply is.
When I received a letter, from someone who was once very near-and-dear to me, that said,
“I am not interested in opening up a chapter of my life that has you in it,”
I felt deeply disappointed, betrayed, and sad.
But as I digested these feelings, something unexpected emerged in the quiet space: a realization.
Relationships (and our experiences) are energetic resonances.
He is not in my life, at this time, because our frequencies do not align.
No amount of effort, guilt, or longing can override this universal principle. Trying to force resonance where it doesn’t exist is like swimming upstream against the current of life itself.
Our relationships and experiences reflect the frequency we hold within us.
Even if the frequency is as subtle as a mustard seed of emotion, belief, or charge hidden beneath our awareness.
We tend to blame others for our negative experiences: their actions, intent, or motives. We try and change the other person: their behavior, attitude, or availability. But…
Change truly begins when we shift the vibration within ourselves.
Have you ever noticed that the same kind of person seems to reappear in your life in different forms?
The boss you couldn’t stand leaves, and a new one shows up and they are remarkably similar.
The partner who drains you is gone, but the next one evokes the same exhaustion.
Or that friend who constantly needs rescuing somehow keeps resurfacing in new faces?
You’re not alone. I’ve experienced the same pattern, again and again, until I realized this:
The frequency within me was creating the resonance around me.
When I shifted my internal energy in the form of my beliefs, emotions, and self-concept, those externals disappeared too.
Many people faded away. New ones appeared. Life reorganized itself around a new vibration.
And yes there are people, I still miss. Sometimes I wish I could pull them back into my world. But I’ve come to realize that unless my inner frequency changes again, those realities can’t reappear. And, once you shift your frequency, it is nearly impossible to revert back.
The universe does not punish or reward us; it’s simply mirrors the energetic signature we emit.
If I hold the frequency of fear, I attract fearful or fear-inducing situations.
If I hold abundance, I experience generosity and flow.
If I hold resentment, I will attract people who will feed that.
If I hold victimhood, I either become victimized, or unconsciously victimize others.
Recognize and Shift Your Frequency
So the real work becomes this:
Can you notice what keeps repeating?
Can you see where you’re swimming against the current?
Can you see you’re trying to change someone or something outside?
Can you be more mindful and aware of your own frequency?
Momentary Practices for Daily Alignment
Pause before reaction: When triggered by someone, breathe in and silently ask, “What frequency am I feeding right now?” Then find a safe expression for that energy that is already in motion, instead of suppressing or storing it in the body.
Frequency reset through the body: Roll your shoulders, unclench your jaw, open your palms upward. Let the physical shift signal your energy shift.
Heart tuning: Place your hand on your chest and recall one moment of genuine appreciation, care, or compassion. Let that frequency ripple through your whole system for a minute.
What Science and Mystics Say?
Quantum Resonance and Mirror Neurons: Physics tells us that all matter vibrates at specific frequencies. Quantum field theory suggests that what we call “reality” is a network of resonant energy fields. In neuroscience, mirror neurons reflect the emotions and behaviors we witness, and we “catch” someone’s mood or attitude. Together, they suggest that our inner vibration influences our outer experience.
Heart Coherence and Emotional Fields: HeartMath Institute’s studies show that the heart’s electromagnetic field extends several feet beyond the body and is measurable by nearby sensors. Our field becomes orderly when our emotional state is calm, grateful, open, influencing those around us.
Yogic and Mystical Views: This principle is expressed as “Yatha drishti, tatha srishti”, as is your perception, so is your creation. Buddhism teaches “mind precedes all phenomena,” and Sri Vidya describes each human as a living yantra, radiating patterns that shape reality. Mystics across traditions speak of vibration as the language of creation.
So pause today and ask
What frequency am I radiating into the world?
And more importantly,
What would the frequency of love sound like, through me, right now?
This is practical mindfulness that is deeply healing.
