Lead with Emotional Intelligence
When you move from reaction to response, you build clarity and credibility.
How do you relate to people, pressures, and outcomes?
Personal Awareness:
What patterns repeat for you under pressure?
Personal Regulation:
Which tool, breath, pause or reframing works for you?
Social Awareness:
Which voice goes quiet when decisions are made?
Social Regulation:
How do you invite disagreement without losing momentum?

Try this 15-minute reset to move from overwhelm to clear next steps
Step 1: Awareness: Map your patterns
• Do a 60-second self-scan 3×/day: feelings (3 words), body sensation, need.
• Keep a 5-day “Situation → Trigger → Story → Outcome” mini-log.
Outcome: Notice top 3 patterns + Create early-warning signals.
Bonus: Track your positivity ratio.
Step 2: Alchemy: Install your regulation tools
Pick 2 small-tools that work for you:
• 90-second breath (inhale 4, exhale 6)
• Name it to tame it” (label emotions)
• 5-4-3-2-1 grounding
• If-Then plan: “If I feel X, then I will Y.”
Outcome: Create a one-page “When X → I do Y” plan.
Step 3: Action: Response under real pressure
• Choose 2 recurring stress moments (e.g., Monday standup, tough email).
• Run the loop: Pause → Plan → Play → Reflect (2 mins).
Outcome: Aim for faster recovery time + steadier responses you can measure.
How to strengthen team dynamics
Step 1: Social Awareness: See the system
• Quick check (live or anonymous): Mood? Safety? Friction? Describe the vibe <6 words.
• Note where voices go quiet and decisions stall.
• Note where voices go loud and decisions get forced.
Outcome: Create 1-page “Current Dynamics + Priority Moments.”
Step 2: Social Regulation: Upgrade interactions
• Set 5 ground rules: Check-in, One-voice-at-a-time, Curiosity-before-critique, Consensus decisions, Repair after rupture.
• Add 2 rituals: 60-second Weather Check at start; Red/Yellow/Green midpoint check; 1 plus/delta at end.
Outcome: Create visible norms that increase safety and speed.
Step 3: Iterate: Grow trust
• Weekly 10-minute look back: What helped trust? What hurt? What will we try next week?
• Use Repair-in-5 when things go sideways: Acknowledge → Impact → Intention → Repair request → Recommit.
Outcome: Aim for fewer repeat conflicts, faster decisions (track two metrics and two yellow-lights).
